Music as a Path to Peace
In the heart of Isla Trinitaria, one of the most culturally vibrant yet underserved communities in Guayaquil, Ecuador, a movement for peace is growing through rhythm and connection.
The Marimba for Peace Project uses the power of music, dance, and cultural pride to guide children and youth toward healing, confidence, and belonging.
The Vision
Healthy individuals at peace with themselves create healthy, thriving communities.
By helping young people cultivate inner peace and emotional expression through the Afro-Ecuadorian marimba, this project aims to rebuild the social fabric of Isla Trinitaria — one note, one heart, and one dance at a time.

- Provide safe, nurturing spaces for community and belonging
- Develop emotional and social skills for peace-building and nonviolent communication
