Become a Volunteer with Floating Doctors
Paying volunteers will join staff at Floating Doctors to care for local patients and to become immersed in the local culture through special activities. The week begins on Sunday in Bocas Del Toro at the dock where Floating Doctors’ cayuco (canoe) will pick you up and shuttle you to the FD base in San Cristobal. Your days will be divided between cultural activities and volunteering in medical clinics and you will live in dorm rooms with one or more persons. All meals will be provided by the FD staff in the community dining room. Your first night will include an orientation meeting. All assignments will be given with preferences and/or limitations in mind. All ages are welcome. Minors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Conditions are rustic but not challenging. All participants will receive a Pathways t-shirt upon deposit.
This mission will begin on July 7th 2024 and end on July 15th. All volunteers will be responsible for their own airfare expense. Please check box below to receive further information and pricing for this mission.
