Spearheaded by the Rotary Club of Sebastopol Sunrise, the installation of a rain water catchment system will solve a water shortage at Iluhya Secondary School, ensuring availability and access to water, sanitation and improved hygiene facilities for girls’ menstrual health management.

Sustainable agriculture with kiwi and shiitake mushroom farming, beekeeping, leadership skills, women's empowerment and microenterprise cooperative for local economic development.
SOLAR COOKERS
Uganda
• 400 people impacted
By using solar cookers to provide food to their students and staff, Lords Meade Vocational College is saving $6000 annually and eliminates emitting 300 metric tons of smoke into the air each year.
SOLAR LIGHTING & MIDWIFE KITS
Mali
• 2,000 people impacted
This project provides solar lighting to health care facilities, as well as midwife Solar Suitcases that improve obstetric outcomes for mothers and newborns.
FRUIT TREES & SOLAR COOKERS
Uganda

By planting fruit trees, children will be able to foster tree growth and nourish their bodies. Solar cookers will allow schools to cook for their students without burning wood, which keeps carbon out of the air and trees in the ground.
NOURISHING BELLIES AND BRAINS
Uganda
• 2,750 people impacted
Many school kids in Eastern Uganda frequently do not eat breakfast or lunch. This project will provide solar cookers to prepare student lunches, and desks & books that are in dire need. With food in their bellies, kids will be better able to concentrate and learn.
FAMILY REUNIFICATION

Former street children are reintegrated with their families by empowering them with a diversified range of life skills, counselling, education and medical care that alleviates the need to return to the streets.
